Startling Facts about Hand Washing (and Lack Thereof)
Some may think this is obvious information that doesn’t need to be talked about. Others may think that washing their hands won’t make too much of a difference as to whether or not they get sick.

However, here are some startling facts about hand washing that suggest otherwise:
- Studies show that 70 percent of employees do not wash their hands after using the toilet. This means that the germs and bacteria they encountered in the restroom may well be transferred to your business equipment and other employees.
- Germs can stay alive on your hands for up to three hours!
- Wet hands spread germs at 1,000 times higher of a rate than dry hands do. This means it is also paramount that staff members thoroughly dry their hands after washing.

Health-wise, the significance of hand washing is factually undeniable.
Thus, it needs to be fully discussed and promoted – regardless of how little some may want to hear about it.
